The End of the Mayan Calender

A subject that is on the minds of many as this year comes to a close is the Mayan Calendar.

“One theory suggests a galactic alignment which would create chaos on Earth because of the gravitational effect between the Sun and the Black hole called Sagittarius A, which is located at the center of our galaxy.” – timeanddate.com

Another theory involves a ‘polar shift’, which means a reversal of the north and south magnetic poles. Scientists believe that the Earth is overdue for a geomagnetic reversal. However this can take up to 5,000 years to complete and does not start on any particular date.” – timeanddate.com

Although it is not a new theory, I’m sure, I would like to believe that a global awakening is on our horizon. For anyone that has not read The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfiels, I highly recommend this controversial book. The deep messages contained in the 9 insights of this book’s journey are truly perspection changing. I will be summarizing all 9 insights for you.

~A CRITICAL MASS~

The first insight occurs when we become conscious of the coincidences in our lives and that some other process is operating. It manifests as a profound sense of restlessness which leads people to take a ‘me-first’ and demanding attitude.

Once we reach a certain critical mass, the entire culture will begin to take these coincidences more seriously. Chance coincidences are meant to happen. Recognizing and following them will start you on your path to your spiritual truth.

The coincidences take the form of a series of events which point to a higher path. Each is a message leading us to a grander awareness. There is a spiritual program in operation. These coincidences are leading us to our spiritual destiny. Once you become aware of these coinincedences, you will note they happen more often. We believe that miraculous or chance happenings are nothing to be seriously considered or as anything that could remotely have an intended purpose or provide a sense of direction.

An amazing man…Mark Seyforth

I have spent hours researching the founder of Day 1, Mark Seyforth. He has an incredible amount of talent and seems to have a hand in several very profitable businesses. One thing I noticed in my searching was that there was not any negative things said about him.

From my research, I have concluded that Mark Seyforth has the biggest heart in business that I have ever seen. Believe me, I was trying to find a flaw and failed. He has created Day 1 with the goal of helping others. Charities are the ones that will profit the most from Day 1’s success!

Every Consumer for Charity (C4C) chooses a charity to donate to from their commission check, typically 1% – 10%. Mark has set it up so Day 1 will match the donation! The impact this is going to make for non profits is mind blowing!

Society is getting colder. More and more people and animals are suffering. Our purpose is to care for the creatures of this planet, ourselves included. Mark has provided the United States with a very powerful tool that can create the change that is so desperately needed as long as we use it! We are a very powerful country, however, we need to turn that power into compassion.

I am proud to say that I am a Consumer for Charity. I am doing my part to make a difference and set an example of love and compassion! I embrace my purpose in this world!

One person can make a difference, but many people can make a change.

Dreams Do Become Reality

When you ask a child what they want to be when the grow up you may get answers like…

Doctor
Astronaut
Baseball Player
Singer
Ballerina
Dentist
President

I wanted to be a marine biologist. Somewhere along the course of our lives we change. Some decided to become something else and some suffer the loss of all their dreams. Often when we dream big, we find ourselves surrounded by skeptics. We have all heard their pessimistic statements…

“You will never make it”
“That sounds impossible”
“Don’t set yourself up for failure” etc…

It’s hard to keep your dream alive when it seems no one believes in you. We are social creatures and often look to others for approval. It is a hard thing to do, but you MUST learn to believe in yourself. Only you know what you are capable of achieving.

The following is by Randy Gage, a top earner in our industry.

“Lots of people today talking dismissively of dreamers. But dreamers are the ones who find cures, solve problems, and create new things. Dreamers are the ones who change the world…

Once you create your dream, speak it out loud. But only to those who will support you in the attainment of it. Others will try to use it against you, so don’t give them the opportunity.

Dream BIG…

Your dream needs to be as big as you are. Find a dream so bold, so compelling, so intoxicating – it pulls you toward it. Then you’ll never need to be motivated again.”

The “technically” legal MLM.

I have seen a lot of ads for these businesses. You can easily tell which ones they are with a little research. The most popular seems to be the one where new members pay a “membership” fee directly to their sponsor to access training material. Sounds good right? Only at first.

I started searching for info on MLMs vs Pyramid Schemes. These are just some of the differences I have found between the two.

Business Goal…
In a MLM, the goal is to sell goods or services to consumers.
In a Pyramid Scheme, the goal is to recruit new members.

Profits…
In a MLM, profits are generated by the sales of goods or services to consumers.
In a Pyramid Scheme, profits are generated by recruiting new members.

Start Up Cost…
In an MLM, there is little or no cost to get started.
In a Pyramid Scheme, members pay recurring “membership” fees to access “educational,” “advertising,” or “training” materials that can be found for free somewhere else.

After learning what I have, the question is are businesses like these “technically” legal or are they just flying under the radar of the Federal Trade Commission.

My recommendation is to look where the profits come from. Legit money is made from sales of a product to consumers. If you are involved in a company that does NOT offer its products WITHOUT enrolling, you may be in a pyramid scheme.

Why are people so afraid of MLMs?

Like I said before, I am a newbee to the internet marketing industry. I used to have the mindset that ALL MLMs are bad until I started really learning the industry. A big thanks to you, Joachim! 😉

You can’t go anywhere on the web without seeing an ad for the latest and greatest home business. You can purchase every kind of marketing means from email addresses to ads on Facebook. Not to mention all the deals for post cards, business cards, flyers, and other promotional items. With so much to “buy” how is anyone making money? They aren’t!

Naturally, after all this time and effort, people assume that there must be something wrong with the business. Don’t get me wrong. There are a lot of so called “businesses” that have simply found a loophole in the laws so “technically” they are legal. There are good ones out there! You just have to learn HOW to work them to be successful.

I have been very fortunate to find a business that is unique and great, however, for the most part, the people that have chosen to join me are not strangers. I have made the time to talk to them. I have let them know who I am not just what my business is. I am connecting with people.

The real success lies in branding yourself. Make yourself stand out! How are you different? Embrace who you are! Let people know you. Build trust. Become the hunted NOT the hunter.

We are all normal people trying to live. We all have hopes, dreams, families, and interests. Be yourself. There are so many businesses great businesses but YOU are truly unique! A one of a kind!

My next post will be an indepth look at those “technically” legal businesses I mentioned. They seem to be really popular right now. Scary!

Internet Marketing

The more I learn about marking on the internet, the more I realize that there is an art to it.

Most of what I have seen, and unfortunately done, is a large number of people placing ads. For the most part, the ads sound like they are computer generated. There is very little personal connection.

Everyone truly believes that whatever they are promoting is the BEST. They are financially committed to making others think it is the BEST. Let’s face it, society has programmed us to believe that we need the best of everything. The best cars, the best houses, the best clothes, the best electronics, the best businesses.

We have lost the ability to be the best at relating to each other. Interpersonal skills are lacking. I am learning that a good conversation will take you a lot further in business than promotion.

It’s hard being a newbee! Lol!

My first blog

Ok so the title isn’t original! Oh well. I am new at this whole blogging thing, but it seems to be the popular thing to do. Got to keep up with the times I guess. So as you can see, I am day1malibu. I am going to use this blog to detail my experiences with Day 1. Here is goes.

I started with Day 1 in August when they launched. My dad is the one who introduced me to it. I will tell you, I was extemely skeptical at first. Why is it when we hear “home business” we instantly think scam?

I believe it is because we have been so saturated with “get rich quick” schemes. You can’t go anywhere on the internet without someone trying to get you to put your email address in a capture page so they can fill up your inbox with crap that doesn’t even intrest you. I have had to change email address so many times because of this.

The bad part is when something genuine comes along, we tend to look the other way or straight run from it. It is so hard to just take a leap of faith. I had to completely change my mind set to see Day 1 for what it really is.

I started by looking at it as I am just trying out a product. If I like it I will keep buying it. I trained myself to not think about the business aspect because it flat out scared me. Turns out…I LOVE THE PRODUCTS! PetroMaxx is getting my car 5 more miles per gallon. NatraBoost helps me to be able to keep up with life and doesn’t make me feel yucky like the 5 hour energy drinks do.

I am all about the Boost! I have been sick with the stomach flu and as soon as I could hold water down I took my Boost. The difference it made in the way I feel is nothing short of a miracle. I could feel all the bad toxins leaving my body! I have taken every “energy” whatever under the sun. NatraBoost is the best hands down!
